Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's had great fame with the stories she tells of her young heartbreak. Swift was interested in music from an early stage of her life. She swiftly rose through the ranks, beginning as a child actor and eventually performing in front of a huge crowd. When she was 11 years old, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and next year, she picked up the guitar and started writing songs. Swift got inspiration from musicians in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks to come up with original songs that reflected the loneliness she experienced by the age of 13. In the year 13 Swift's parents sold their property in Pennsylvania and moved into Hendersonville Tennessee so she could spend more time to courting country labels in nearby Nashville.
